About George Bumann –

George Bumann (rhymes with ‘human’) is a professional sculptor and naturalist living with his wife, young son, and black Labrador at Yellowstone Park’s northern entrance. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in wildlife ecology and has worked in the fields of wildlife research, back-country guiding, environmental consulting and has taught art and natural history programs for youth, adult, and university audiences since 1990. His first book “Eavesdropping on Animals: What we can learn from wildlife conversations,” was published this past fall with Greystone Books.

George’s work can be found in public and private collections throughout the United States and around the globe.
